CloudPull retrieves Google Mail messages via IMAP. In order to ensure that CloudPull has the access it requires, please go into Mail Settings within your Gmail account and confirm these settings:
Under the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab:
- The “Enable IMAP” radio button must be checked.
- The “Auto-Expunge on” radio button must be checked.
- The “Do not limit the number of messages in an IMAP folder” radio button must be checked.
Under the “Labels” tab, the “Show in IMAP” checkbox must be checked for these system labels: “Inbox”, “Sent Mail”, “Drafts”, and “All Mail”.
In addition, for each of your own labels you wish to back up, the “Show in IMAP” checkbox must be checked.
CloudPull will treat any message that is only assigned to labels that are not available via IMAP as being unlabeled. Therefore, CloudPull will back those messages up if “Back up unlabeled messages” is enabled for that account within CloudPull Preferences.
If you encounter any problems, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
