Unread’s URL scheme allows creating a link that makes it easy to subscribe to a specific feed or to search a specific website looking for feeds. To create such a URL:
- Determine the website URL or feed URL.
- Percent-encode that URL.
- Append the encoded URL to:
unread://feeds?url=
For example when Unread is opened with the URL unread://feeds?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.goldenhillsoftware.com%2Ffeed%2F, it offers to subscribe to the feed at https://www.goldenhillsoftware.com/feed/.
Similarly when Unread is opened with the URL unread://feeds?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.goldenhillsoftware.com%2F, it finds feeds for the website at https://www.goldenhillsoftware.com/ and offers to subscribe to any of those feeds.
